Do you live in the 23rd Legislative District?
•There are three ways to find out:
1.If you are a register voter, follow this link, type your name in the Search by Voter Name box. Click your name when it is matched and scroll down to “Precinct Information” to look at your Legislative District.
2.If you are not a registered voter, follow this link and look at the map to see if you live in the district.
3.If the first two options do not work, you can contact us at 449-8897 or email us at bobby@votewebber.com.
How to vote absentee:
•You may apply through the Elections Division of the Boone County Clerk’s Office:
‣The quickest way to vote absentee is in person:
‣Simply go to the County Clerks Office (801 E. Walnut St., Rm. 236) and request an absentee ballot.
‣You may vote in person until 5 p.m. on August 4.
‣You can also request an absentee ballot online.
‣Call (886-4375) or write to the Clerk’s office to have a ballot mailed to your address.
‣The deadline for sending an application for a mail absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on July 30.
‣All absentee ballots that are mailed by voters from within the U.S. must be voted in the presence of a Notary Public and returned to the Elections Office before the polls close on August 5.
‣If you are confined, call the Elections Division at 886-4375 and a team of election workers will deliver the ballot to you.
•You may vote absentee:
‣if you will be temporarily absent from the County on election day
‣if you are confined due to illness or physical disability
‣if your religious beliefs prohibit you from voting on election day
‣if you are incarcerated, but have retained voting privileges
‣if your military service prohibits you from going to the polls
Requirements to register to vote:
•18 years old by November 4, 2008
•Citizen of the United States
•Resident of Boone County
Where to vote:
•After you register, you will be mailed a confirmation that will include your precinct and polling place.
•The precincts and polling places are also listed in each Boone County newspaper the week before the election.
